Season total: 605 inches (Jackson Hole Mountain Resort)
Season total: 605 inches. Jackson Hole News and Guide.
Although this is a local story relevant to the Tetons of Wyoming, this winter has been the hardest, especially in terms of precipation, for a long time in most of the Northern Rockies.
This has taken its toll on wintering ungulates in places, but if the wet weather trend continues, it will greatly benefit them after years of drought.

And this no doubt will be seized upon by the science detractors/reality deniers of yet another example of the great hoax/farce of global warming…

Steamboat had 489″ a new record by 42″. However, the ski area has a number of dead trees caused by mountain pine beetle, a good indicator of climate change. Go figure!
Recent Greeley Tribune commentaries are boasting a great hoax. Al Gore jokes are abounding. Too bad they don’t look beyond this.
It just snowed at Chico, Montana. Global warming has surely ended! 😉
