Here are the data. It varies from week to week, of course. One week it was number one, and almost always in the top ten. Lately, visits per weekday have been averaging well over 4000. It drops off a bit every weekend.

Dr. Ralph Maughan is professor emeritus of political science at Idaho State University. He was a Western Watersheds Project Board Member off and on for many years, and was also its President for several years. For a long time he produced Ralph Maughan’s Wolf Report. He was a founder of the Greater Yellowstone Coalition. He and Jackie Johnson Maughan wrote three editions of “Hiking Idaho.” He also wrote “Beyond the Tetons” and “Backpacking Wyoming’s Teton and Washakie Wilderness.” He created and is the administrator of The Wildlife News.

it is certainly an uplifting thing knowing how many people drop in. we get scientists, wildlife advocates of all stripes including leaders, leaders of associations opposed to wildlife, congressional staffers, MSM, etc. etc. etc. and most importantly, it’s a place for a community of people who give a rip to chime in.
you’ve done a phenomenal thing here Ralph ~ along with your contributors like Kathy Lynch.

Yeah, congratulations Ralph! And thanks. This blog is an amazing source of information. The overall intellectual level of the contributions and comments on your site is light-years beyond what I find on most other wildlife blogs. Keep it up!
Ralph: But that is just a guess, IF they clicked a link. You would know better than I, but I just wonder if we have members of WY wool growers, WY Farm Bureau, American Farm Bureau etc looking at this blog. And, if they are that is a good thing. Maybe they will learn from us. I personally do not buy wool or beef anymore. and not much of anything else I produce myself. (For those of you who disagree, Go ahead and pick away at me if you must, but at least I am trying. Its my soul when I die I’m looking out for!)

Getting in trouble for thinking out loud again…..
Not at all Heather, I was referring to my own proclivity of following an idea or comment, boarding on, sometimes obsession,(meaning I go to a lot of web sites) until I am satisfied I have the facts, in so much as possible, on a subject. Unfortunately in the pursuit, I am not always Politically correct.
wow thanks for replying. I am going stir crazy this weekend reading all wolf case law in the past 10 years writing this paper… A LOT (!) of bad stuff and I am just going a little nuts. McKittrick case is quite interesting but I cant believe he beheaded the poor thing…
