Partisans moved from replaceable positions to unfireable career civil servants-

A number of these are in the Department of Interior. You can never get rid of these assholes.

  1. If the pejorative fits….

    No sane person could argue that the DOI under Bush and the likes of Rey, MacDonald, and Norton was anything but a conduit for the raping and pillaging of the western landscape, and setting it up for more of the same in the future via waivers of permitting regulations, depletion of enforcement budgets, and lack of permit conditions to protect the resource. No one is fire proof, not even civil servants. Whomever is put in charge of DOI will have a hard time ferreting out these folks, but there will be enough of the front line scientists and program people who will be quietly pointing them out. Obama has already pledged to do what he can legally via executive powers to begin the reversal of the worst environmental administration in the history of this country. Let’s hold him to it.

  2. Geeeze!!

    If this doesn’t scream REFORM from the high heavens, I don’t know if there’s any hope for change in any manner of deliberate haste before it’s too late for the biosphere and subsequently, us.

    So, nepotism? Or…

    Racketeering perhaps?

    Regardless, it proves what I’ve been saying since 2001;

    Corporate schills can never morph into public servants, it’s pickles in whipped cream, only curdling and festering can take place. And then what’ve you got?

    I hope there is some EO that can withstand any legal test and that can correct this malady of justice to civil service.

  3. These folks will all be on probation and removeable without cause for 6-12 months. The new regime will just have to have someone point them out before it is too late.
