  1. This initiative won’t change the land lock up situation. In this current age of lawsuits, many landowners have stopped allowing access due to just the risk involved.

  2. Ryan – my understanding of the liability laws in MT – landowners can allow access without a fee or lease from the individual and have no liability (risk). This is why the Block Management works so well, the state pays the landowner not the person gaining access. My understanding, maybe the legal staff can comment.
