The next thing that needs to be suspended is the sheep grazing …
I would be the 2nd person in line to speak loudly against public grazing. If it has to continue then it should be understood that if you graze your stock on public land then accept the risk that comes with it, other wise graze your stock on your own fenced property. Also didn’t these sheep belong to the Shirts family??? ya look what they have done to the bighorn sheep.
And the Shirts permit in the Boise Foothills/Forest was purchased from —Idaho Lt. Gov Little a few years ago …
Wonder where this hand full of Idaho sheepmen get their absurd political cover?
Like many ranchers kt, they’ve been a part of the landscape (and local politics) for years and don’t want anyone or anything, mucking around with their sterile way of making a living.

You have to wonder how much tax payers money was spent on the operation compared to damage the wolves actually caused

Probably alot more money was spent than the damages caused. But, that is undoubtedly true for many of the services WS/APHIS provides on a daily basis across the country, whether they deal with skunks foxes, raccoons or coyotes, and some plant and insect issues.
They keep a pretty close tab on all this, and I would guess the charge numbers/budget records would give some very precise numbers.

and clearly that is why groups are pressuring the Feds to dissolve this agency or at least restructure it to focus on things that we really need funded like around Airports, etc, and not on our public lands.
I for one would like to see it changed drastically…
