  1. It is nice to read some good news for a change. Being a longtime supporter of the BFC, I was delighted to read about the acquisition at Hebegen Lake. Best of luck to all of them and keep up the great work that they do.

  2. On behalf of BFC, a big thank you to all our supporters who have made this possible. I was unaware of the ceremony that happened right here on the mountain that looms over our property all those years ago, but to learn of it truly adds to the momentum here.
From our driveway we can see the line of missing trees that were removed to make way for the ski run that never happened. It’s a looming reminder of what could have been, and a symbol of the kind of development that we much continue to remain vigilant of.
I also want to point out the power of that ceremony of so long ago. A group of people went up the mountain, and without lifting a single hand in violence, put a stop to something that would have been the end for so much life out here.
So, our hearts and minds are infinitely more powerful than those who would destroy such sacred life, and we must never forget that.
