  2. Reading the article, it seems like it may have been in the herds best intrest.
    Granted, they could of tested to see if it was clean, and it would be better off if the domestic sheep were moved away from the wild population to begin with,
    but the death of one ram is better than spreading a disease killing a whole herd.

  3. Nathan I don’t want to belittle your comment because you’re right–one dead is better than a diseased herd. However, if domestic animals are spreading disease to the public’s wildlife then the domestic animals should be removed—period. If the domestic animals are being killed by predators, then the domestic animals should be removed–or suffer the consequences—period. Who does the current policy benefit, the public or the grazer? It doesn’t benefit either conservationists or hunters, I’ll tell you that….
